Dentine Bonding. How to get the best from the best materials
Bonding is fundamental to the success of your restoration. I will give an overview of the new materials, the limitations and advantages of them and teach the ‘Gold Standard’ way of dentine bonding.
Anterior Aesthetics and Composites
Placement of composite using a stratification build up technique produces an extremely conservative and aesthetic restoration. I will cover all the tips you can incorporate to make all of the composite restorations you place blend with the surrounding tooth. The hands on exercise allows you to practice and develop those skills.
Diagnosis and treatment of caries with a minimal intervention protocol
Learn the new techniques you can use to improve your skill at diagnosis, monitoring and treating caries. We will cover the protocols to follow for your patients and discuss the tools that you can use to help prevent progression of disease. When we have to intervene restorative procedures should be minimal. We will practice minimal intervention, bonding and sealing using the latest techniques with sonic tips and micro-preparation burs. I will teach you how to be successful with your restorative techniques.
Whitening Update
The whitening market is huge and the hygienist/therapist can now offer this service to their patients. We will discuss how to provide predictable results using the products available. An included hands on element will qualify you to start whitening your patients as per the GDC guidelines.
Dental Photography
Before and after images are important both for patient education and medico-legally. I will show you how to very simply take consistent images. This is an excellent tool that will help build patient relations and your practice profile.
