The Course Content
One to one hands on preparation training. Informal and relaxed atmosphere allowing interactive group discussions and the opportunity to plan your own cases. Personal Laboratory communication with world class technicians.
Comprehensive multidisciplinary treatment planning – teaching the importance of developing a methodical, predictable and successful treatment outcome.
Complete hands-on teaching of all the aspects of occlusal management for each and every case that you will see and treat in practice.
Functional occlusion and general practice ( Module One )
Delegates should be aware of the various philosophies of occlusion and how these principles are applied to restorative modern day practice.
Practical exercises will be designed to allow an understanding and confidence to diagnose and treat TMD with an ethos of joint based occlusal analysis, articulation and removable splint treatment. By focusing on diagnosis, delegates will develop the techniques to create a more successful restorative and aesthetic practice
Minimal intervention, adhesion and aesthetics ( Module Two )
Revolutionise the practical aspects of the bulk of day-to-day practice with the primary aim of fully understanding the implications of treating the pulp-dentine complex using minimally invasive, conservative and highly aesthetic principles of practice.
Hands-on techniques are developed to teach the very latest tips and methods to successfully restore all forms of diseased and broken down anterior and posterior teeth, as well as the use of composite as a cosmetic tool.
Smile Design ( Module Three )
Gain confidence to run a case from start to finish applying a rational protocol for each individual patient. Learn the value of successful photographic techniques both to you and your patients, when and how to use cosmetic imaging and whitening.
Build excellent relationships with you technicians through effective communication and a motivated approach to successful common goal.
Learn the fundamental importance of a diagnostic wax up when planning and ‘selling’ your case and step by step techniques will be described on how to prepare partial and full coverage preparations, anterior veneer preparations and posterior bonded porcelain preparations.
This module will eliminate the confusion about when to use cemented versus adhesively retained restorations and develop predictable parameters for each. An update on tooth preparation surface management to eliminate post-op sensitivity, finishing techniques, gingival control, impression recording, prototypes and bonding protocols will be taught.
You have my assurance that you will leave this module with a comprehensive knowledge of treating patients from the simple single tooth veneer cases to the more demanding aesthetically challenging smile. We give you an abundance of clinical tips readying you for the very next case you see.
Advanced restorative topics ( Module Four )
This module aims to cover treatment of an advanced restorative case from treatment planning to preparation techniques. Management of the edentulous space will be discussed with an overview of the use of implants, short and large span bridgework, removable prostheses and full denture techniques.
The perio/endo/ortho interface with restorative care will be covered as well as the challenging occlusal case.
